Chronically Offline: Building Community in the Age of AI and the Chronically Online Gernation

What do Willy’s Chocolate Experience, the Kate Middleton conspiracies, and the potential TikTok ban have in common? Other than being major media stories, they’re all prime examples and early indicators of our shifting digital (and social) culture.

Allyson Blatz and I were asked to present at the Fordham University Division of Student Affairs Training Day (The Changing Landscape in Higher Ed: Artificial Intelligence Meets Generation Z), which focused on hot topics surrounding Gen Z and AI. Our breakout session centered around building community and delivering a holistic brand experience at multiple public perception levels, especially in the face of rapidly evolving platforms and increased feelings of loneliness.

Thank you to the Division of Student Affairs Training Committee for allowing us to be a part of the day, and to the entire Fordham Career Center team for your continued support!
