Office of Communications and Marketing

I reported to: Digital Content Creator
– Photographed 20+ College events and meetings per semester for promotional and archival purposes
– Produced a multi-camera live stream of a 2-hour awards ceremony, reaching 500+ viewers on YouTube and Facebook
– Supported TikTok platform launch through strategy and creative content development
– Assisted on-set in filming promotional and documentary style-videos
– Contributed to digital asset management upkeep on SmugMug
– Invited and selected to design original logo and key art for “Quad Jam” campus tradition festival
– Shadowed agency listening sessions to gain a firsthand understanding of audience sentiment surrounding potential rebrand creative decisions
– Recruited for a full-time role upon graduation

Center for Career Development

I reported to: Director, Center for Career Development
– Served as a CCD student ambassador and peer career mentor; provided mentorship and training to new interns and office assistants
– Designed flyers and slide decks to promote office events, resources, and services
– Developed social media strategies for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
– Supported job and internship postings and employer vetting via Handshake
– Inventoried 200+ professional apparel pieces for new, donation-based career closet
– Assisted with virtual workshops, programs, email campaigns and ad hoc projects
– Developed, planned, and organized the first Virtual Networking Night, in collaboration with the Peer Mentor Program, which connected current students with alumni to learn about their career paths and ask questions about their career field
– Revised and implemented a new social media strategy for @mvilleCCD pages, following guidelines for new social media platform algorithms
– Worked with the Annual Givings team to develop, edit, and produce promotional videos for the Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday campaigns
– Created training social media and video guides for brand consistency
– Developed and implemented the Hot Jobs & Internships and Student Employment & Intern Spotlight Campaigns; maintained existing educational and inspirational campaigns
– Incorporated the newly released Instagram Reels into our posting routine

– Produced and edited content for social media, digital, and print campaigns
– Produced division promotional video using Adobe Premiere Pro and content from recent performances and events
– Provided mentorship and assistance in video production for senior music majors working on their capstone projects

– Fielded and synthesized team ideas and contributions while resolving creative conflicts
– Set quantitative and qualitative goals and objectives
– Filmed & assisted in production of facilities tour
– Collaboratively developed new campaigns, including student employment and intern spotlights, student work features, and senior highlights
– Increased followers by 5.5%, reach by 265.8%, and post interactions by 1805.6%

Center for Student Involvement and Leadership

I reported to: Director of Student Involvement and Leadership, Assistant Director for Student Leadership
– Designed brand refresh for CSIL social media pages and developed strategy and best practices guide to increase impressions and engagement
– Coordinated, ran, and participated in Welcome Week activities
– Met with students on an individual or small group basis, connecting first-year students with tools, resources, and departments for academic and social success in the transition to the college environment
– Collaborated with a committee of Peer Mentors to plan 3 events per semester, designed for first-year students
– Developed communications plans to distribute campus updates and event information to assigned mentees
– Attended Center for Student Involvement & Leadership events to model student involvement and engagement
– Planned the first Virtual Networking Night in collaboration with the Center for Career Development and school alumni
