There are a lot of great ways to spend a lunch hour, but none better than a dedicated space for community, support, and inspiration. I am so grateful to have been invited to join the inaugural NextGen cohort, hosted by Ad Age!
The NextGen group is an invite-only space designed for early career marketers, students, and industry mentors to connect, share advice, discuss challenges, and help each other grow in what can be a competitive industry.
The group kicked off with a workshop with a fitting theme, “Finding Your Community in a Competitive Industry.” Moderated by Anna Sekula, industry experts Kwame Taylor-Hayford, Alexandra (Alli) Guglielmino, Aaron Walton, Detavio Samuels, Kai D. Wright, Taryn Crouthers, Mona Munayyer Gonzalez, and Latraviette D. Smith-Wilson for sharing remarkable insight on:
– Difference between manifestation and inspiration
– Power of a well-informed point of view
– Impact of creative and unconventional approaches
– Importance of not defining a career by a title
(Plus a delightful bonus of a side chat with great book recommendations!)
Following the panel, Mark Fischer, Sabrina Sanchez, and Jeanine Poggi from the AdAge team welcomed the participants and mentors into a private group chat for continued conversations, connections, and announcements regarding upcoming workshops and programs.
It’s such an honor to be invited into this ambitious and exciting group of young professionals, and I’m so excited to participate in future programs!
