Over the past several weeks, I worked closely with the Career Center’s data specialist, Mirza Amin, and the leadership team to develop the first formal Year in Review publication.
Previously, the Year in Review was a designed and branded version of key points from the annual report for Fordham University and student affairs leadership. It was crammed with facts and data points, was challenging to skim, overwhelming to process, and lacked context surrounding the points raised.
This year, I pitched publishing the Year in Review as a storytelling piece that delves deeper into the reporting period’s qualitative and quantitative results. By adding photos, testimonials, and descriptive copy to the data points, the document provides a cohesive narrative of our signature initiatives and remarkable accomplishments.
I served as the editor and designer of the document, while Mirza Amin provided the data and reporting points. Very few peers produce a publication like this, and we are excited to build on the success and expand even further on our assessment presentations next year.
