Designed an integrated, semester-long promotional campaign to drive student adoption of RamConnect’s Experiences Board and Co-Curricular Transcript, establishing key institutional infrastructure to support the new Fordham Internship Promise.
Challenge
- Students underutilized institutional experiential learning tools, lacking clear understanding of how non-classroom achievements translate into career readiness
- Adoption of the Co-Curricular Transcript suffered from confusion around automatic credit tracking versus self-reporting requirements for uncredited internships and independent projects
- Experiential learning messaging was disjointed, lacking a cohesive narrative to engage students at distinct stages of the academic lifecycle
Solution
- Conceptualized a unifying campaign narrative (“Every Experience Counts. Make Yours Count for More.”) paired with a 5-phase thematic rollout aligned to key semester milestones (exploration, broadening definitions of experience, interview prep, networking, and end-of-term reporting)
- Scripted two evergreen educational walkthrough videos detailing how to discover opportunities on the Experiences Board and how to log verified achievements on the Co-Curricular Transcript
- Developed multi-touch promotional assets across campus ITV digital signage, targeted email workflows, social media campaigns, print collateral, website updates, and leadership-backed parent communications co-authored with the First-Year Experience team
- Structured a modular production roadmap empowering student marketing interns to execute pulse graphics, social posts, and newsletter integrations
Outcome
- Established an evergreen multimedia framework and production-ready asset suite to drive awareness and platform adoption across the undergraduate population
- Created a repeatable, cross-departmental communications pipeline bridging the Career Center and First-Year Experience to institutionalize experiential learning tracking
- Fully mapped and pre-produced campaign deliverables prior to scheduled departure, leaving an actionable blueprint for the incoming team and intern cohort to launch during the fall term

Subject: Unlocking Your Future: Experiential Learning and Career Readiness at Fordham
Welcome to the Fordham University community! As you begin your journey at Fordham, we want to share how our commitment to your growth extends well beyond the classroom walls.
At Fordham, we believe that every experience counts. Through our Experiential Learning Platform on RamConnect, students can explore dynamic opportunities, track their professional growth, and build a verified record of their achievements throughout their time on campus.
What is Experiential Learning?
Experiential learning is all about putting classroom knowledge into real-world practice. Whether through an internship, a faculty-mentored research project, a student leadership role, or community service, these opportunities allow students to uncover their strengths, develop high-demand career skills, and prepare to stand out in future job and graduate school applications.
Through the Fordham Internship Promise, we ensure that every undergraduate student has the access and support needed to secure meaningful experiential opportunities.
Key Tools: The Experiences Board & Co-Curricular Transcript
To support this journey, students have access to two powerful tools within RamConnect:
- Experiences Board: A centralized hub to discover hands-on opportunities—ranging from internships and research positions to mentorship programs and community projects.
- Co-Curricular Transcript: An official, comprehensive record of your active involvement, skill-building, and accomplishments at Fordham. The Co-Curricular Transcript translates what you’ve done into a tangible document you can draw from when updating your resume, preparing for interviews, and articulating your unique strengths to employers.
How Experiences Are Recorded
To make tracking simple, many of your official Fordham-affiliated milestones will be automatically added to your profile by our administrative teams, while others can be self-reported directly by you.
Credit-bearing internships, service-learning courses, Fordham-mentored research & fellowships, official student leadership roles, and study abroad experiences are all automatically added to your profile. You will have to self-report uncredited internships, external volunteer & community work, off-campus leadership roles, or other forms of independent projects and experiential learning.
Next Steps
We encourage all first-year students to activate their RamConnect profile, explore the Experiences Board, and begin thinking about how to shape their Fordham story.
Whether you are looking for your first campus leadership position, exploring research, or planning for future internships, the Career Center and the First-Year Experience team are here to guide you every step of the way.

Faculty-mentored research lets you dive deep into complex questions and develop analytical skills. Service-learning and community projects connect your studies with real-world social impact. And leadership roles and micro-projects let you test your skills in flexible, high-impact environments.

How to Report Your Experience Using the Co-Curricular Transcript on RamConnect
As you build your career story at Fordham, it is essential to keep track of everything you accomplish along the way. That is where your Co-Curricular Transcript on RamConnect comes in.
Think of your Co-Curricular Transcript as an official record of your real-world achievements outside the classroom. Reporting your experiences gives you a verified, centralized record of everything you have done at Fordham. It makes updating your resume effortless, helps you articulate your strengths in job interviews, and ensures you get full recognition for your hard work under the Fordham Internship Promise.
Here is the best part: a lot of this tracking happens automatically behind the scenes. Every semester, credited opportunities are uploaded directly to your profile on your behalf. This includes credited internships, credited service-learning courses, mentored research, fellowships, recognized student leadership roles, global internships, and study abroad experiences.
You’ll only have to self-report uncredited internships, external volunteer & community work, off-campus leadership roles, or other forms of independent projects and experiential learning.
Let’s walk through how to report those experiences using RamConnect.
First, log into RamConnect using your standard Fordham credentials. From your main dashboard, navigate to the top menu bar where it says Career and click on Co-curricular transcript in the dropdown.
Here, you will see a comprehensive timeline of your recorded campus involvement, academic milestones, and experiential learning roles.
To add an uncredited internship, off-campus project, or independent experience, click on the Add Experience button.
You will be prompted to fill out a brief reporting form. First, select the category that best fits your experience, such as Non-Credit Internship or Project.
Next, enter the key details: the organization or company name, your position title, dates of involvement, and a brief description of your key responsibilities. You can also highlight the career competencies you developed during the experience—like communication, teamwork, or critical thinking.
If applicable, add your supervisor’s contact information so the Career Center team can verify your submission. Once you double-check your entries, click Submit.
Your submission will be routed for a quick review. Once approved, it will officially appear on your verified Co-Curricular Transcript.
