The Fordham Career Center is proud to announce the formation of the Humanities Student Ambassadors program. In partnership with the Fordham Career Center, the Humanities Student Ambassadors (HSAs) will connect Fordham’s humanities students with a range of professional development opportunities. The HSAs focus on optimizing the skills inherent to a humanities classroom and degree program while also providing practical professional insights tailored to their academic background.
Mia Guzzo, FCRH ‘25, is an English major and a marketing minor and is currently the PR/Communications Representative for the organization. She is extremely passionate about building a community of humanities students at Fordham, where they can help uplift one another as they begin their careers. “I am most excited for humanities students to gain a greater sense of appreciation for their majors, as well as feel more secure in their futures,” Guzzo shares. “There are so many talented humanities students at Fordham with amazing skill sets and so much passion who deserve to be secure about the importance of their majors.”
The Humanities Student Ambassadors will host a kickoff event on January 24 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Career Center office at Rose Hill (McShane Campus Center, 203). This event will provide students with the opportunity to meet the inaugural group of HSAs, learn how to join and get involved, and enjoy free hot chocolate and treats.
