I have officially graduated from Manhattanville College with a B.A. in Communications and Media Studies and 4.0 GPA.
During the ceremony, I was awarded the O’Byrne Award, which is granted each year to a student in the traditional undergraduate program who has achieved the highest overall GPA at all institutions attended. Prior to the ceremony, I was awarded several departmental distinctions and involvement achievements at the Valiant Awards Ceremony. I was also recognized for my completion of the Castle Scholars honors program and the Mary T. Clark Scholarship.
Over the past three years, I have greatly expanded my knowledge of communications and digital media production, refined my technical and professional skills, and connected with other aspiring media professionals. Taking courses such as Studio Photography, Commercial Photography, Social Media, Graphic Design, Intro to Motion Graphics, Intro to Marketing, Writing for the Media, and Commercial Video Production/Advanced Techniques, I was also able to build a portfolio that strongly represents my unique skillset. Beyond the classroom, I completed two internships and held a variety of on-campus positions that either directly related to my career aspirations or fostered my professional development and “soft skills.”
After a brief break, I am excited to return to Manhattanville College as a Marketing Coordinator with the Office of Communications and Marketing. I had worked with this department for the past academic year as a Student Photographer and look forward to continue with the team!
