Center for Career Development Summary

Beginning in the fall 2020 semester as a Digital Marketing and Video Production intern, then continuing in January 2021 through graduation as an Office Assistant Coordinator, I worked in the Center for Career Development to expand its marketing efforts while reinforcing the department’s brand identity.

Accomplishments and Contributions

  • Nominated for Student Employee of the Year, progressed to finalist position
  • Developed, planned, and organized the first Virtual Networking Night, in collaboration with the Peer Mentor Program, which connected current students with alumni to learn about their career paths and ask questions about their career field
  • Revise and implement a new social media strategy for @mvilleCCD pages, following guidelines for new social media platform algorithms
  • Solidified CCD visual identity to ensure brand consistency; developed original content for social media and revised exisiting presentations and print handouts
  • Incorporated the newly released Instagram Reels into our posting routine
    • First Reel received more than double our average views
  • Edited pre-recorded Alumni Career Chats, Career Fair Lookbook video for IGTV, “Workplace Essentials” video for Instagram Reels
  • Provided mentorship and guidance to peer interns and office assistants
  • Led collaboration with students and faculty on community social and video projects
  • Worked with the Annual Givings office to develop, edit, and produce promotional videos for the Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday campaigns
  • Developed an organizational system and capture record photos for newly development professional development rental closet
  • Hosted a free headshot day for more than two dozen students, using studio-quality lights and equipment
  • Provided administrative support for student walk-ins, email campaigns, and employer postings on Handshake
