Co-Founder & Co-President
April 2020 – May 2022
As the Co-Founder and Co-President of Manhattanville University’s first photography organization, I recognized a gap in the campus ecosystem for a dedicated visual arts community. My goal was to create an inclusive space where students of all skill levels could foster their passion for photography and collaborative storytelling.
Strategic Growth & Scaling
What began as a foundational concept quickly grew into the largest student organization on campus within its inaugural year.
- Brand Development: Established the club’s mission, constitution, and visual identity, ensuring a professional and recognizable presence within the university.
- Community Engagement: Scaled the organization to 50+ active members through strategic recruitment and high-impact programming.
- Agile Leadership: Led the organization through a critical transition from a 100% virtual operation to a high-impact, on-campus presence, maintaining momentum and engagement throughout the shift.
The “Viewbook” & Award-Winning Programming
One of my most significant contributions was the conceptualization and design of the Mville in Focus Viewbook.
- Editorial & Design: Utilized Adobe InDesign to curate and layout a professional magazine-style publication that showcased member work and documented the club’s history.
- Institutional Legacy: The publication was recognized for its excellence and was officially archived in the Manhattanville University library for historical preservation.
- Excellence in Execution: Spearheaded the “Viewbook Publication Launch Reception,” an event that earned the 2022 Outstanding Event Award for record-breaking student engagement.
Recognition
My leadership of Mville in Focus was a cornerstone of my collegiate career, leading to being named Student Leader of the Year (2022) and receiving the Kitty Pilgrim Prize for significant contributions to campus media.
